Kick off Memorial Day weekend with this ginger and mint bourbon cocktail!
makes 1 drink
2 oz bourbon
2 bar spoons or teaspoons of ginger syrup
5 mint leaves, plus more for garnish
2 lemon wedges
1 – 2 oz club soda
Lemon peel, for garnish (optional)
Combine the bourbon, ginger syrup, mint leaves, and lemon wedges in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled, strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, and top with club soda. Float large dashes of Angostura bitters over the top. Garnish with a lemon peel and mint leaves (optional).
